This spring, Tehachapi church held a Law Enforcement Appreciation Day to express gratitude to the men and women who dedicate their lives to keeping communities safe.

The church welcomed Chief of Police Richard Standridge into their sanctuary one Sabbath where he shared about the importance in today‘s world of finding common ground to better work together and serve those around us. He highlighted the work of the Tehachapi police department and the ways they take care of themselves—mentally and physically—so they can be effective in taking care of their communities.

During the service, the church prayed over the officers and gave each of them a gift of appreciation. After church the officers were invited to stay for a potluck lunch. This event was just one of the ways Tehachapi church continues to connect with their community.
