This January, two West Region churches kicked off the year of evangelism with concurrent three-week-long evangelistic series starting January 30 and 31.

With 10 presentations, the “Revelation Revealed: Bible Prophecy Seminar” at Sylmar church explored pressing topics through the lens of the Bible, including:
- Can the Bible Be Trusted?
- Why Does God Allow Sin & Suffering?
- Revelation’s Answer for World Peace
People from the community joined the series having heard of the event from flyers and Facebook, and members participated in various ways throughout the series. Attendees enjoyed fun nightly giveaways. At the close of the program, nine people made decisions to get baptized or continue with further Bible study.

Camarillo church partnered with the SCC Literature Ministries department to host a series entitled “Irresistible Identity: Embracing Who Jesus Created You to Be,” with Andy Villanueva, SCC Literature Ministries director, serving as the speaker. Presentations included “Purpose,” which was about purpose and identity; “Trust,” which focused on the great controversy and the origination of evil; “Love,” which talked about the law; and many others.
The presentations included a nightly quiz and group discussions. The church is following up with 18 people, including a Bible study group and baptism interests.
