SCC Conference-Wide VBS 2026 Workshop: A Day of Inspiration and Purpose

A few Sundays ago, our conference family gathered for a beautiful and spirit-filled VBS 2026 training held at Temple City church. It was truly a joy to see children’s ministries leaders from across all regions equipping their hearts and hands for one of the most meaningful evangelistic opportunities of the year—Vacation Bible School. The conference has provided comprehensive VBS trainings since 2022, and this year was no exception as God once again brought together dedicated leaders with a shared mission and vision.

With more than 100 VBS leaders and volunteers registered representing more than 30 churches across the Asian/Pacific, Greater Los Angeles, Hispanic, L.A. Metro, and West regions, the atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, collaboration, and a deep passion for reaching God’s little lambs.

Participants received hands-on training for two dynamic programs: Cactusville: “Where Kids Are Called to Follow Jesus” and Rainforest Falls: “Exploring the Nature of God.” They connected in interactive group sessions and were supported by an incredible team of dedicated volunteers who faithfully served in registration, hospitality, prayer, crafts, games, Bible storytelling, and more. We are especially grateful for our presenters, helpers, and Temple City volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly.

An exciting highlight was seeing 25 churches sign up to use VBS decoration props—what a blessing to witness so many congregations preparing to create welcoming, faith-filled environments for children this summer!

We praise God for the unity, energy, and commitment shown by every leader in attendance. May the seeds planted during this training bear abundant fruit as churches across our conference share Jesus’s love with children and families in the months ahead.
