Royal L. Harrison, DHA, serves as vice president of the Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, providing leadership in advancing the mission of exalting Christ by cultivating healthy churches and schools.
Born in Rome, New York, and raised in Redlands, California, Elder Harrison served honorably in the United States Air Force before answering God’s call to pastoral ministry. He holds a B.A. in Theology from Oakwood University, a Master of Divinity from Andrews University, and a Doctorate in Health Administration from Virginia University of Lynchburg.
Throughout the past three decades, Elder Harrison has served congregations in the Southeastern California, Oregon, and Southern California conferences, including tenures as senior pastor, regional director, and now vice president. His ministry has extended globally through mission work in the Philippines, Thailand, Africa, Mexico City, and South America.
Elder Harrison is the proud father of two children, Devin and Jade, and honors the memory of his late wife, Dominique, with whom he shared more than 40 years of marriage. His life and ministry are dedicated to reflecting God’s grace, mercy, and unconditional love.
